Little-Known Secret to Save You Money at the Grocery Store
By Michelle C. Carr-Crowe
I've always suspected my rebellious tendency to take the road less traveled could benefit me in more ways than one. Today I received validation that my method of shopping saves me money each trip-and could do the same for you.
In today's HomeActions Newsletter was a WalletPop survey done on behalf of SmartMoney.com about little-known ways grocery stores get more money from consumers.
For years, I've traveled from left to right (clockwise) when shopping through a store, annoying my family members, who clamor to travel right to left (counterclockwise). So take my advice and use the road less traveled when grocery shopping. Not only will you be able to annoy your family, you'll receive about $2 in savings per trip to do it.
